Sheet revisions enhancement

Sheet revisions enhancement

Since each sheet in a project has its own revision cycle, it would be handy to reflect that in the sheet revisions, this could be achieved by adding a prefix to the revision sequence. For example, when you have sheets 1, 2 and 3 the sequence of the revisions becomes 1.1, 2.1, 3.1 etcetera. I'd like to hear what people think about this idea or if they have another idea of what is the best way to implement such a thing.

Under the Sheet Issues/Revisions dialog (View > Sheet Composition > Revision) there is section called "Numbering Options" along the right side. If you select those, you get the option to add a prefix or suffix to your revision. However, it's not very flexible, and could improved. Is this what you mean? Or did I misunderstand.

I am not getting what it would accomplish.  Firstly, there hardly any sheet numbering system using just 1, 2, 3.  Secondly, adding a sheet number (e.g. A100) as a prefix of a revisions (A100.1, A100.2, etc...) on that very sheet is just providing repeating, redundant information.

Oh, no I get it, I think. You might have 5 revisions issued on Sheet A300 but only 2 Revisions issued on Sheet A400. The asker is looking for a way to label revisions per sheet. So even though Revision 3 on Sheet A300 occurs before Revision 1 on Sheet A400, they should still be labelled as Revision 3 and Revision 1, respectively. This can be accomplished with the Numbering option "Per Project" or "Per Sheet". At least, I think that's the question.
