Shaded Material Surface Pattern Using Raster Image for Better 2D Presentation Capability

It would be useful to have better 2D design presentation capabilities. One of them could be the possibility of using raster image (.jpg, .png, .tif) as a surface pattern (instead of only color) for material in Shaded and Consistent Color visual styles. Currently we can only see textures in Realistic visual style. This is sometimes limiting in 2D views especially with interior elevations, where Realistic lighting is calculated and it can create undesirable results with overblown or too dark parts of the wall or floor. In 2D views the texture color throughout the whole view should be homogeneous. This is not possible to achieve with Realistic view style bacause of the lighting calculation. See attached example.

It would be much appreciated if we could do the same thing in Revit.
