This is possible if you go to the %appdata%\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 20xx\ folder and edit the RevitUILayout.xml file there.
If you change the values ​​behind "CanAutoHide" from "False" to "True," a pin will appear at the top of your palette.

This allows you to automatically hide your palette.
