Rise/Drop Graphics

Rise/Drop Graphics

I wouild like to see enhancements of the Rise/Drop graphics for regular Revit duct and pipe.

  • Open ended duct and duct fittings (opening upwards toward viewer) should have rise symbols. Currently, Rise is only applied if the duct extends above the extents of the view's associated level, i.e. duct goes up into the level above.
  • If a duct's or duct fitting's opening is occluded by another fitting or itself, it should have Drop applied, e.g. elbows pointing down or vertical duct encapped on top.
  • Currently, fittings do not receive any Rise/Drop symbols applied. Open ended fittings should be corrected as outlined above. If it points up, it's rise. If it points down, it's drop.

Thanks,

Tom

P.S. Thanks for the 2017 text editor. I love it.

On top of that: being able to define custom graphics for the RiseDrop symbol would be great.

It would appear my Revit idea has been implemented in the 2019 release.

Thanks.
