Hello,
The "Attached End" leader lines on tags leave a lot to be desired, although the leader will move with the object, the leader does not always look like right on a plan on what it is pointing to. In some cases it doesn't look like it is pointing to the object at all. Thus we are forced to use the "Free End" leader and arrow where we can place the arrow head and leader line wherever we please but we give up the ability to have the arrow update automatically if the tagged element is moved at some time in the future. We need a tag that can do both beneficial features without giving up one or the other benefits. What we really need is a tag that allows you to switch the leader lines from "Attached End" to "Free End" back to attached, but leaving the point of the arrow that you moved manually, locked to the item that you tagged as if it was still an "Attached End" type tag. This will tell Revit that this is the location that you want the arrowhead tip to be locked on to the element which will allow you the flexibility and peace of mind knowing that even though you spent all that extra time creating Fee End leadered tags, that even if you need to move the element in the future, the tags arrow head and leader line will follow it to its new location based on the exact point you placed the arrow head's tip.
