On a large project, with a lot of consultants involved, when there is a large design change, the list of orphaned elements can get very long. And, sometimes the best approach for some things is to just delete the unhosted ones. Fur example, I am working on a project at the moment that has several hundred unhosted room tags. The thing is, the Reconcile Hosting palette expands the list, repeatedly. So if I collapse all the other categories, and delete a subset of room tags (all the tags formerly associated with Interiors model A, on Drawings from one discipline, but not others, for example), as soon as they are deleted, the collapsed sections of the list re-expand.
So, I would like to suggest two things.
- make the collapsing sticky - I can expand easily enough if I need to, but if I have collapsed a section, leave it collapsed.
- Add a filtering option. We have three, sometimes four separate disciplines in one model, frequently. Each discipline cleans up their own work, so give us tools to just hide things, to make it simpler.
Also - having that palette open slows performance, sometimes dramatically. Fixing that would help too
