Railing supports must repeat at every stair story

Railing supports must repeat at every stair story

This is an issue, actually continuous rails terminations and supports of handrails do not repeat in a multistory stair, you can see it only in the level that is sketched the stair. That's must be resolved on future versions of revit. The workarrond here it to create a traditional railing system, but it don't work as good as continuous rails, why to have a continuous rails that doesn't in multistory stairs?

On the other hand, continuous rail extensions (beginning/bottom and end/top) behave properly on multistory stairs.

But an issue for extensions... rail to wall extensions should maintain the slope of the railing if does not check "Plus Tread Depth".

Rail extentions repeats at every level of a multistory stairs. But for it, I think is better to have the option to not repeat it. In order to have only one at the beggining of the stair on the base level and one on the end of the stair at the last level; maybe one different on the intermediates levels to connect the end of one handrail with te beggining of another (because the ends of stairs can't touch).

of couse, we have the Workarround of creating a handrails of insignificant length, at the beggining or end of a multistory star, to create form you don't want to be repeated on the other level, like these three:

I see this is Fixed in Revit 2018, please mark as Implemented or archived.

About railing extentions  on multistory stair, I think with the stair and railing improvements on revit 2018 we can handle it.

Hello @sasha.crotty, I Think this "Idea" should be marked as "Implemented" (instead of arvhiving it, as I see on other post), because as I write on here, the issue is fixed on Revit 2018.
