As I understand it, a linked or imported Toposolid in 2024 that contains more than 10K points will have the simplification option automatically applied to maintain the number of points at the 10K threshold to maintain optimal performance. When sharing surfaces from Civil 3D, 10K points is not a high number, especially with highly detailed finished grade surfaces that includes curbing, retaining walls, sidewalks, ramps, etc. Even on smaller projects, this number can be exceeded easily.
It would be nice to have control over the threshold number or even add ability to enable/disable auto-simplification.
