Quiere decir:

Please stop messing with my Places Bar

Please stop messing with my Places Bar

Seems like a long-standing Autodesk habit to force icons onto the Places Bar.

I remember way back when you could never delete the Buzzsaw icon.

The latest offender is the BIM 360 Team icon.

That little bugger forces itself to the top of my Places Bar. EVERY TIME

I move it to the bottom, but the next time I open Revit - BAM - there's BIM 360 Team back on top.

Once we start using 360, maybe I wouldn't mind it so much, but we currently do not have any project in 360, so it's a useless, space wasting icon and it shoves other icons I use every day down, thus forcing me to scroll to them.

Just leave my Places Bar alone!

I want to set it up the way I want it. Not the way you want it.

Hi Dave,

I just tested this out in 2017.1 and I can't reproduce the behavior.

Here's what I tried:

1. Click "Open..."

2. Drag BIM360 down to the bottom

3. Open file (I also tried Cancel -> Save Changes to Places for kicks)

4. Click "Open..." -> Looks ok

5. Close Revit

6. Start Revit

7. Click "Open..." -> Looks ok

Could you provide exact steps where you're seeing this?

Thanks,

Sasha

I was not able to reproduce the issue as well. I tried both 17.1 and 17.2.1 . Someone else was having the same issue however.

Hi Sasha,

I was able to replicate this issue if I didn't open a project file which is skipping step 3 (Save changes made Places list). But once I open a project file and Revit maintain changes and I was not able to replicate the issue at some point even though I tried following steps in your description.

Maybe if customer faces this issue then opening a project file after making changes will be a workaround at the moment.

Thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
