plausible parametric angular capability within families

plausible parametric angular capability within families

Currently it is near impossible to simply make a parametric angular control for geometry that is not so fragile that the family breaks when flexed. Maybe what is needed is a point entity that can be pinned so a nested family can be pinned to and rotated around it, and an angular dimension that knows that -20 degrees is not the same as 110 degrees. Whatever, can we please have some support to plausibly drive things with angular parameters.

I support this.

Building rotation into a family is unnecessarily difficult.

Trying to built rotation and tilt into a family at the same time is essentially impossible.

Can I vote for this about 20 times?

I've really been struggling with this for a few hours. If only there was a way to pin the end point of a reference line / plane so that it would work as a sort of "hinge" around which angular dimensions will always rotate.

Yeah! That would do it!
