We use parts to create intricate floor pattern designs in our workflow. This is great because it eliminates the need to create a bunch of tiny floors or having to paint patterns on the floor. Whenever you modify a sketch, or change the joint thickness using the parts parameter for that purpose, the material reverts back to the "Material by Original". This can get extremely annoying if you have an intricate pattern that needs to be modified. My only request here is that the individual parts maintain their assigned materials when modifications are made, rather than having to go through and re-assign the materials (and potentially re-align patterns within each part).
Attached is an example of what we might do, you can see each part has a pattern that needs to be aligned separately, so you can imagine that if these are constantly being reset when things change, it can get really annoying.
