Parts feature Enhancment

In construction we convert most of revit elements into parts.

so i would like to see these 2 new features and why;

First one, in visibility graphics, it would be a good idea to have subcategories under Parts, such as floor, wall, column etc...

we end up creating filters to show for example only Floors (as Parts)

The second enhancment feature would be able to Paint Parts surfaces. We would use them when we have different finishing on different sides of the same part. and then we could use paint to do Material takeoff from Revit and then be able to know what kind of concrete finshing and its area on each part. As alternative solution, is to export the part 3d view into IFC and then open IFC in Revit but paint will work only on parts that have regular form without any void or join geometry, otherwise it wont work.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
