Open Detached Model and Unload Worksets

I'd like to have the ability to open a model detached, and also have the options to unload and attached models or links.  This came up today as unrecoverable errors kept me from opening a model, but ADSK support was able to open it without problem.  The problem was in a link, but it would help if we could get around the supprt request by being able to dump the links before the open attempt.

We put all links on separate worksets - this way we can always choose open-->specify  and close the worksets with links we dont want to load.
