Dont everybody want the Object Style for a linked file to be shown correctly, as the creators of that file want it to be shown. As default in the Visibility Graphics Override the linked files basics, should the Object Style be set to By linked model, instead of By host model.
Should you be able to set default behavior for links in your templates and projects? Sure. Should Autodesk change the program default? I don't think so, especially not without the former options. For the most part I WANT the host model to control the graphics, especially if i'm linking several models together to make up a building. Usually consultant models styles need to be controlled so they pop or don't compete with those in our own model.
