Non-Core Layers - Projection

As I understand it, unchecking non-core layers only helps if you are cutting through the wall. However, for most of my structural views, we are not cutting through the walls we are looking at - they are below the framing we are showing. It would be extremely helpful to have this functionality for a wall in projection view as well as in cut view. As it stands, this feature is unhelpful for the only thing I actually need it for.

Would also be helpful for architects as well, when doing the likes of Roof plans. We typically show the outline of the core below. (Timber framing, or steel stud etc). Have tried using the Linework tool, but as soon as the view range isn't cutting the walls the wall reverts back to displaying its full build up.
