Move Family Instance by Coordinates

Move Family Instance by Coordinates

Currently it is possible to move an object in a Revit model mainly using the "move" command. The move is defined between 2 points as a relative move.

In some situation we could have to define the coordinates, it can be project or shared coordinates, of the object. That's why it would be great to be able to define the coordinate of a specific point of the family instance geometry, or alternatively as a first step to define/change the coordinates of the location point (or location object) of the object.

The idea is that with this feature Revit will give the current coordinates of the location point/object of the family instance, and the user will be able to change it.

This will make it easier to locate any object at a specific coordinates.

For sure this is something possible using Dynamo, but this can be quite heavy for the user to do this as for each object he will have to open Dynamo or the Dynamo player to be able to make it. If we compare this to many other tools like Civil 3D this appears really heavy.
