Finally got Revit 2024 installed and the new topography feature that looked promising falls short of requirements. Will give credit that this is probably a first draft in a way and that there is the ability to add layers now!!!
There needs to be a way to fine-tune the levels of layers, And this should be per layer!!! With the new Top surface tool you can control only 1 layer as variable, but you may have several layers to consider in a design. as per this sketch. Note how at parts each layer may have average uniform thickness and at other parts a varied thickness from the average norm.. A particular layer such as the green may only start halfway across the site.... This is quite important in a geological survey and the impact it will have on a design.

There also needs to be a way to show just the surfaces of the geological formations of each layer in the evaluation of a design. In other word remove the filled volume between layers. (Screenshots below taken from earlier version of Revit placing 2 surfaces ,1 above the other, in the same area space).
As a test to see if possible, I created 3 layers (new Revit 2024 topo feature) and tried to set a middle layer as transparent , but was landing up with the same problem as illustrated in this post: bug Slanted and Tapered Walls - Autodesk Community - Revit Products whereby it was not showing the revealed surface when a layer is set to transparent, so this also should be considered.
