As far as I understand, this is an Idea Board. This is just a suggestion for Revit developers to improve UI. I believe this suggestion can help to reduce a risk of deleting something you really need. That "delete" button is in a wrong location in my opinion. Also, beginners may not be aware of the shortcuts and some people simply do not use them.
