Model Checker Workset check

Model Checker Workset check

Hello,

I’m trying to create a check in Model Checker that will identify if elements, such as Air Terminals, are in the wrong workset. For example, I need all Air Terminals to be in the A_Air Terminals workset. So far, I haven’t had much luck with this. Here’s what I’ve been trying:

First and foremost, worksets should not be used as layers in AutoCAD but rather to minimize the size of models.

So, I would recommend that all HVAC be placed in one workset, reference planes in another, shared levels and grids, Revit links, etc.

This way, the recipient of your model can exclude irrelevant information (MB) in "Manage Worksets."

That being said, it would be awesome if Autodesk built in what DiRoots can do with Family Reviser. This tool can automatically assign family categories to their respective worksets in no time.

I believe it’s still part of their free package, so you can use there tool in the meanwile.
