I will start with a couple of points that many seem to be unclear on:
1. Materials carry NATIVE Identity data through Material Library Transfers
2. You CAN copy a material with shared parameters (including the parameter data) from project to project
We currently have to work around bringing material libraries from other Revit project in order to allow our shared parameter schedules to populate without starting from ground zero each project. We have multiple libraries so loading every single material into the project template is not efficient.
We would like to request that Material Libraries be able to transfer the shared parameters of materials the same way they transfer the native identity data.
If, for some reason, that is not possible (not sure why it wouldn't be), could we make the native identity for materials align with industry standards for scheduling materials or editable?
