Mark Property Lines Segments directly on model views

Mark Property Lines Segments directly on model views

I would like to select (using the Tab key) a single property line segment on a model view in Revit, for naming it or change it mark value.

In order to mark property line segments on Revit, we have to create a schedule, and in the schedule select each one comparing their parameters and then naming each one. This is simple on a project with a few property line segments, but that isn't allways the case.

I usually open the property line segment and select every instance, once at time, click "Highlight in Model", to know which segment is and then mark it name. This is the most efficient way I found, but it isn't enough efficient.

Or editing its mark values on the bearing and distance table will work too. But I think manually on the model would be the best way.

A good workarround is to have one type of Property Line Tag that shows it property line segment Mark's Label. So you can double click the Mark Label to edit the Mark Value once at time, tag by tag. It works, at least is much better than the others methods I metion before.

Also, if a project have various porperty lines you will need to group the rows on property line segment schedule to sort witch property line segmens belong to each properties.

Currently I have to put the name of the entery property line to each instances of their property line segments, in order to sort on the schedule.

Ideally we should be able to insert the parameters of the complete property line (name, mark, comments, image) on the property line schedule schedule, to sort it efficiently and in a smart way.

I can't archive this, even with multi-category schedule (because I don't see property line fields there).

Conclusion: Every property line segment should call the parameter values of the whole property line, at least on schedules (But also maintaining their individual segment values).

Just discovered this.

It's really bizarre that there's a disconnect between a property line and its segments. Abosutely no way to tell what's what in a segment schedule with multiple boundaries.

To tackle part of this problem (name, comments, and image parameters) try tagging all property line segments, then select the tags you want to rename, press select host and batch rename the property line segment properties.
