Make areas, volumes, quantities, etc able to be reporting parameters and make Revit truly programmable!

I think that we should be able to make more things reporting parameters. For instance the net cut/fill volume of topography. We should be able to grab that number and assign it as a global parameter so we can report it in a label somewhere. Or, create another global parameter that converts this to cubic yards. Then, when the topo is changed, this number updates in the plans. This same concept should also apply to totals in schedules. We have to be able to capture this info. This is the 'information' in building information modeling and right now we can't even grab it.

Another example of something we should be able to "grab" is elevations so we can use this data elsewhere. For instance I want to show the elevation of all the levels on the site plan. I am just using a text note but it should be referencing the data in the spot marker or level. Not just dumb text that needs to be updated.
