When Linking or Importing a CAD file there are settings such as scale Units - the default should be determined by your locale/system settings, not default to the CAD file which is usually inches (which rarely used outside of USA). The problem is must users assume the units will be automatically determined to be correct, the consultant providing the CAD file may also assume this, which is often wrong, this can lead to inaccurate drawing scales at a critical point in the project which can be overlooked. A simple option could remove that ambiguity.
Likewise the option to correct skewed lines and base point placement defaults should be set as a saved option, much like print settings.
