Let us edit our ideas for a couple days.

This ideas forum would be more informed and useful if we were allowed to edit our ideas for at least a couple days.

Often when someone posts an idea, they are buried in a frustrating task. A couple days later after more research, they may have a better understanding of what kind of change would be most helpful. They also might have a screenshot to add for better understanding, a tag to add, or a clearer explanation. 

I understand the limit on editing, so people don't vote for something that gets changed to something else. But a little wiggle room here would be an improvement.

Totally agree about what @anielson said. Doing editors work on idea to make the synthesis of comments (and ideas) posted in the topic would be helpful. @kimberly_fuhrman-jones Thank you for moderating. Is there a possibility to realize this?

One way to do it might be to allow the post author to append information to their original post.  In this way the original content wouldn't be changed, but would allow any screenshots or clarifications to be at the top for new visitors to see, rather than buried in the comments.

From one of my fellow Community Managers..."I don't know if editing is possible, but most product teams appreciate the addition of comments to an Idea, for clarification and additional information."

For one, it would reduce duplicate posts where the author made a typo or forgot to include images.

Yes, there are ideas with "3rd request now with pictures" in the various product forums.

The ability to edit posts for a few days after they've been posted (a week would be enough I think). I recently posted something and later I thought of a better way to formulate my idea, some editing time would have been nice.
