Jacques' Revit Wish List - 2023/4

I was unaware of this board - very happy this is here.  That being said I have had an ongoing list I was going to submit from the past few years.  I have many many more ideas but here are some good ones.  

If Revit is here to stay for the next few years - big improvements need to come especially working through limitations and improving workflow/speed. I am happy to work with anyone at Autodesk to make things better.  

Wish List:

• Transparency of Raster Images
• Raster Images On A Sheet
• Paste a Raster Image From Windows Clipboard – Both in Model/Plan/Sheet
• Automatic Corner Cleanup of a Storefront Curtain Wall with Wall Openings to Remove Wall Corner
• A Built-In Document Manager for Cloud Storage (Similar to Project Browser)
• Make Cloud Collaboration Part of AEC Subscription. 
• A new Family Side Browser Panel
• Partial Explode/Full Explode Limitation Removal
• Create Floor in 3D View – Editing is Currently Allowed but Create is Not.
• Increase RAM Limitations
• Allow for Back Save to Previous Versions.
• Reload Links Button On Bottom Bar for Quick Linked CAD Reload.
• Default Clipboard Paste to Same Place – Dashed Blue Line Shows in same Spot – Enter Key Pastes to that spot.
• Automatic Work Plane AI – Allow Revit to interpret an assumed work plane based on Mouse Location.
• Rewrite Project Phasing & Design Options and Provide a UI & Demo System that is easy to use.
• Refine Room Naming/Area Etc – Build A Separate Component That Allows for Easy Tag Building With Intuitive Text Layouts.
• Automatic Naming Suggestions for Database Objects – Columns/Levels Etc.
• Automatic Sketch Healing for Sketched objects that are not closed or contain duplicate lines.
• General Reduction of Warning Messages of error messages.
• Numeric Keyboard Input after a command for lengths and distances – Offset, Copy, Trim Radius Entry - Etc.  Default to top bar instead of having to click.  Repair Distance text Mixup/Reverse Glitch.
• Increase Program Loading Speed.  Increase Upgrade Speed.
• More options for GPU Settings.
• Auto Suggest Spelling Errors During typing
• Ignore Work Plane to Select Objects Button
• Encourage other softwares to use RVT as import and extend RVT Output Capabilities – Object information, materials etc.
• Improve and Entirely Rewrite the 3D Navigation System (Wheel).
• Override Column Grid Color By Category
• Improvement with Move Tool on Multiple Elements in Plan View

Wow! Thank you for your extensive wish list! We certainly appreciate the effort that you have put into this post. In the future, we ask just a few things. Please review the "How To Post" link here. First, please search the Ideas for items that may be similar to what you are asking and add your vote or comments to those before posting new Ideas. With over 10,000 Ideas posted, it is very likely someone has already posted something very similar to what you are asking. This fantastic list will be a bit of a challenge to ever mark as being "Accepted" or "Implemented because of the variety of different Ideas included. It is better to post separate Ideas (although this would certainly add quite a few to our list!). Again, searching the Ideas may lead to others' similar Ideas and help all of us to sort through them easier.

As an example your idea -  Create Floor in 3D View – Editing is Currently Allowed but Create is Not. can be done

Perhaps more explanation required, But I was able to create a floor in 3D

4. Some of your ideas do have merit like: Default Clipboard Paste to Same Place – Dashed Blue Line Shows in same Spot – Enter Key Pastes to that spot

Though I think Revit has other ideas which are more of a priority I think this one would be a nice to have.
