Increased Control of Brace in Plan Settings

Increased Control of Brace in Plan Settings

While keeping Brace in Plan Symbols associated to the Associated Floor level works for 80% of our projects, some additional control of these symbols would be very helpful as our projects become more and more complex.  When working with sloping roofs or walkways that span between multiple levels it becomes very difficult to use the tool as designed.

1. Being able to show all bracing that crosses a certain View Range would be nice.

2. Being able to show only the bracing within a certain View Range could be nice.

3. Being able to change the Brace Above or Below per view would be nice.

4. Being able to associate bracing to workplanes instead of levels would be nice.

5. More options for where the Plan symbol is shown in relation to the brace ends would be nice.

All of these options should be available at minimum in the coarse detail level, and perhaps at the others as well.

Hi, I need to control the vertical bracing symbol location on plan views. Often the symbol is hidden under nearby beams. Being able to flip and control the offset distance of vertical bracing pops up on every project. Every structural modeller I know complains about it at some stage but Autodesk has never fixed it. I found a similar post to this in 2017 saying the idea was archived and didn't get much support. I wonder how many times it has been "archived".

I can understand this not getting so much support, its such a basic function for the program but its still missing after nearly 20 years of development. Any chance this can be added within the next 3-5 years? I don't want to be too optimistic!  :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:
