I would like to share a few ideas for improving the basic operating in Revit. I will present them in this and next posts.
Incomprehensible extending a pipe to the half of another pipe:
When extending a pipe or a duct to another pipe or duct I noticed a strange behavior of revit - when I want to pick a target pipe (an Axis) Revit (2026 and earlier versions) highlights left or right half o the pipe or half ot he insulation instead if the Axis. Why ? Why a half and not a quarter for example?...
A small request to Autodesk for fixing that function to simply highlighting the Axis as a target.
I also noticed that revit highlights Target elements (half of them) fe. pipefittings when there is no posibility to extend elements to them. Then what for revit highligts them?
