Improve Support for Type B Photometric Files (*.IES files)

Improve Support for Type B Photometric Files (*.IES files)

Presently, if you load a Type C photometric file into a Lighting Fixtures family, and set the Tilt Angle parameter to -90,  Revit aims the light source such that the 0 degree vertical measurement corresponds to the Z axis.   But if you load in a Type B photometric file, with the Tilt Angle still at -90, the light source is aimed such that the 0 degree vertical measurement corresponds to the Y axis.

This means that if a user needs to use both Type B and Type C photometry with the same family, they also need to know to change the Tilt Angle parameter when changing the photometric file.

It would be better if Revit aimed both Type B and Type C photometry consistently with one another.  In other words, interpret the 0 Vertical Angle to be along the same axis, for a given Tilt Angle, regardless of Type B or Type C photometry.  This would allow the user to change between Type B and Type C photometric files without having to also adjust the Tilt Angle.

This would certainly be helpful and minimize confusion

What the hell Autodesk. Hours spent trying to figure this out. Why you gotta be like that?
