We often get IFC-Files from different disciplines. The IFC-Files hold Information about the Building components and the materials used in each component. For Instance an IFC Wall will show the material name of the Layers. Now the Problem is that I have made certain Hatch/Patterns for the cut view of each material in Revit and these Hatch/Patterns will not be displayed by the IFC walls, because there no way to map these Materials. Ideally there would be a mapping tool to map 3000+ materials, and maybe sometime later a default Hatch for material categories, if the exact material name cant be found.
