When scheduling items, such as Doors, and you include linked elements, Revit will not allow the schedule to be filtered by level any longer.  I believe this is because Revit does not know what level in a linked model corresponds to the level in the model that has the schedule.  One simple solution is to 'link' the levels to other models based on their height, since they may have different names.  Otherwise, a way to set up a linking scheme through a dialog, similar to how Phase Mapping is set for a linked model. Dear Sir/Madame, One of the architect’s nightmare in many countries is the law that force designers to prove that buildings in the surroundings has enought amount of light in the solstice day (described in minutes). If designer built model and it’s surroundings in Revit extremly helpful would be parameter in window famillies in it’s glazing that show how much time (in hour/minutes) sun reaches in that particular day for this family. I know that the Classification Manager is an Add-in and not part of the Revit product, however I have some suggestions for increasing its functionallity.   Add IFC clasifications to the UK classifications so that when a uniclass 2015 or other classification is applied it applies the corresponging IFC category to the component. An option to also add IFCExportAs to be populated as well would be great and aid in exchanging models.     Show More

Can we please have the ability to justify tags, set the text note width and set the leader style on an instance basis. Currently we have 3 versions of any label within a tag family, one justified left one justified right and the final one center justified these are then controlled  by visibility states that are set by family type so for each tag note type we have a family with 3 types a left, a right and a centre version. It works but it is a PITA, and doesn't allow for diferent instances of text width or leader type.   Show More

It would be really useful if we could open manufacturers families and extract all of the shared parameters to create a new shared parameter file, so that we could re-create the content based on our internal standards and also clean up the file to reduce the bloat. we could then add in the same shared parameters and use the original manufac turers content to creat a type catalogue to drive the types of the new cleand up family. It would be simpiler that trying to get the shared parameter file from the manufacturer. it would be good if we could extract parameters from IFC content in a similar way afterall each parameter should have a GUID, the names are irrelivant and dynamo could be used to extract the data for the new family type catalogue. Please add the ability to filter a schedule by Family, Family&Type or by Type this would eneble us to produce flashing shedules similar to the attached image. Each sketch would be a legend and the surounding fields are the properties for that type.       Show More

I write my tech report and import/insert into Revit as a "book", pdf or doc, it can have two or hundred pages, all text will be on a single sheet - when printing or publishing, there will be an option to choose pages as usual Problem was: we created conceptual design in Revit, have it printed in one style together with tech report. Of course we did it. But having this option it would be easier and we could have all the project in one file.   Show More
