This shouldn't even be a thing, but as this is Revit, it is a thing... when spot elevations are placed on a toposolid, and then the toposolid sub-elements are modified, the Revit throws warnings that the spot elevations will be deleted. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!!! This behavior / programming - or lack of programming - is not acceptable. As a project develops and annotations are added, it is inevitable that modifications to the project design will happen. Including modifications to the toposolid sub-elements, which control grade and contours. Spot elevations on toposolids need to update as modifications are made, just like dimensions update when the element they dimension are modified. Important information is lost when spot elevations are deleted, and it's time consuming and non-sensical to locate and document every spot elevation that will be deleted, and then replace each one.
