Allow duplication of sheets with all included; detail items,  views, legends etc.  This would be really useful in M&E as there are multiple services to be done. Each require a different system showing but the exact same views just to be on a different sheet. It is unnecessarily time consuming, having to create each view again, make it the same size to try standardise sheets somewhat.      It would be so much easier to allow duplication of sheets - so the views look exactly in the same place, same size, same notes etc. Revit should have the option to automatically duplicate all views when you duplicate the sheet.        There are so many things that you need on multiple sheets. It would be SO much easier to have the option to duplicate a fully developed sheet and just tweak it to show a different service.  It would streamline the process of sheet production MASSIVELY.    Show More

There are many existing systems that have incorporated a Single Phase panel on a 3 phase system. The distribution system is 208Y/120V 3phase with 208V Single Phase panelboards are in the system along with 208V 3 phase panelboards. In Revit, how can we incorporate such an instance to calculate? Applys to all Revit applications newer than 2021. The distribution systems defaults are at 240/120V Single Phase, 208/120V Three Phase, or 480/277V Three Phase. Panels set at the 240/120V Single Phase Revit distribution system are not able to connect to panels in the 208/120V Three Phase distribution system. Show More

A single search line (just like the one on the properties tab) would be added to the project browser to allow users to jump from a view to specific family quickly as opposed to scrolling up and down and drilling down for the specific type of family. This could save users, especially BIM managers a lot of time. Show More

The Manage Cloud Models dialog is bloated and difficult to navigate if you have more than a few projects. As the BIM Manager, I have over one hundred projects to scroll through, and the fact that I can't search or start typing to jump to a project (like in Windows Explorer) makes this task much harder.    The large skyline image is completely unnecessary, as it's the same for every project (doesn't pull from the BIM 360 project image) and takes up an inordinate amount of space. The idea is to turn all rebar in a view as solid per view as opposed to the current individual selection method. I currently have a number of vertical rebar which I have had to place in a group or else Revit messes up it's dimensions when placing next to the perpendicular rebar. When viewing this in 3D it is by default represented as single lines. It is a pain staking effort to now go individually into the group change it to solid and then close the group when there are a number of these rebar elements. would be handy if this could be done as a one-stop-shop button by specifying that in a view like a 3D view that all rebar is shown as solid.   ref for similar case : Assign Rebar for 3D View as View as Solid for Rebar within a model group - Autodesk Community - Revit Products Show More

The Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) BIM Standards committee recently created a list of Autodesk Revit enhancement and feature requests based on a membership survey. We have shared a prioritized list with Autodesk and are posting them here, on Revit Ideas, to build community support to benefit the lighting design industry.   Please consider upvoting this Revit Idea.   Description: Many BIM applications use IFC to promote vendor-neutral and usable capabilities across a wide range of hardware devices, software platforms, and interfaces for many different use cases (OpenBIM). The BIM tools have been developed considering different IFC schema definitions that are regularly developed and updated by buildingSMART. It is recommended that the latest versions be used wherever possible. The most important current IFC versions are: - IFC4 (still in beta, certification process in progress, offers certain advanced possibilities but is not widely supported yet); - IFC2x3 (currently the most supported and stable format, certified in Revit and recommended for production). Revit is expected to migrate very soon from IFC2x3 to IFC4 certification, which, among other features, allows better support for the representation of complex geometries. This will require the update of the IFC Manual, presently in version 2018. The final full documentation of IFC Schema IFC4 ADD2 TC1 is already published with the final status of Model View Definitions (MVDs) "Reference View" and "IFC4Precast." The "Design Transfer View" MVD is still under draft but expected to be completed soon. Show More
