We need the most commonly used corner mullion condition that occurs in buildings which is a mullion that is angled at the corner. This mullion will be set at 45 degrees to the corner at a 90 degree outside corner and at 135 degrees to the corner at 90 degree inside corner. This mullion should be adaptable to other wall corner angles. Please see attached image.

Idea logged by Autodesk Customer Support for German customer Ladislaus Wichert: When dimensioning a wall, wall openings can be included in the dimension line with the openings height and width parameter. Doors and windows have however more parameters related to their dimensions. There are rough height and width parameters in window/door families in order to specify raw building dimensions of the construction. Please, enable Revit users to specify which parameters should be read by the dimension lines regarding wall openings. Please, also enable to display those dimensions with a prefix or suffix.

Can it be made possible to filter by Level in a 3D view? The same as how it works in Navisworks or Solibri, where you can select the Level and Isolate the Level with all elements attached to it. Using the filter by Level in the Visibility/Graphics Override is not working for all elements of different categories.

Many schedules will contain yes/no parameters, which can be programmed to display as a dot or check mark using calculated fields and hidden columns: https://revitpure.com/blog/7-steps-to-create-a-yes-no-dot-schedule-in-revit There should be an option under appearance or conditions formatting to set the outputs for yes/no parameters, either as a built in list (Dot, Check, X, Yes/No) or as a text box. This would simplify workflow dramatically and remove the need for workarounds with this extremely basic control of schedule output.

I propose the Revit programmers create a fence wall type. This is an ongoing issue, for several years, where a gate is required in a chain link/ picket fence, and there is no easy way to model such content. Please create this new command with adjustable height/ width parameters, max support post spacing (posts are typically 2 3/8" round for corner and end posts, square options would also be nice), gate width and height adjustability. Please create both chain link and picket style options (pickets at 4" oc max). This feature would go beyond adding a fence to a property, but also include: 1) gas cylinder enclosures 2) storage enclosures 3) facilities only access barriers etc. Many thanks for your consideration.

So that the edge terminations with foundation can be modeled parallel along a pavement edge, it would be helpful to have a special tool for this and not have to misuse the railing tool. Is it possible to implement this command in a meaningful way for the landscape coverings?

There should be a possibility to copy assemblies and all views, sheets, schedules, legends, 2D objects, settings etc connected to this assembly. We make shop drawings for precast concrete elements using Revits Assembly function. If we have mutliple almost identical elements (assemblies) we have to make the whole drawing from scratch for all assemblies although the difference in the model might just be a simple steelplate. In autocad this would take 2 minutes, in Revit it is double work. For one project we have 15 almost identical elements (se attached file). Because of a varying corbel supporting a ramp, it is necessary to make 15 shop drawings from scratch instead of copying the first assembly, and adjust the corbel. It is a MAJOR time consumer!

when placing clearance zones or reference lines I don't want to be able to select them when I load in the family into a project when I am nowhere near the actual family. Working on my standard door families. Have added ADA clearance parameters (symbolic lines, plan view only) tied to yes/no for visibility. The problem; which is more of an annoyance that I would like to eliminate; is that doors become highlighted (pre-selected) whenever the cursor is nowhere near the actual door. Seems that Revit is picking up the symbolic lines even though they may be turned off. This makes selecting other elements harder and forces more use of the tab key.

Issue: When a truss is engineered it is almost always designed with more than one web member size. The members in the center are usually smaller than at the ends. The vertical web members are almost always different in size to the diagonal web members. Suggestion: There needs to be an ability to create different sizes along the truss so that an economical design can be modeled easily. Currently there is only 1 web member size. 1 top chord size and 1 bottom chord size. Currently the sizes of the individual web members can be changed once the truss is in the project. Unfortunately this is an instance only ability and does not reflect how trusses are used in building construction.

Revit should allow you to remove all painted materials at once. Currently it is possible to remove just one by one, which takes a lot of time.

Enable Model Text to be hosted to a curved surface. With curved walls we need curved signage. Please can this be added as a feature.

Spot elevations need an instance custom text field so we are able to add descriptive indicators like T.O. WALL or B.O. JOIST when tagging elements within the project. Personally, I don't care if it is above or below the line, as long as we can get it somewhere on the tag. Simple, easy and absolutely ridiculous this isn't already a built in function.

How wonderful would it be if floors, walls, stairs and ramps (even roofs) could have a Yes/No instance parameter to work like building pads. With this function the topography would automatically fill in between foundation and up to the nearest floor and also we would be able to create fully underground basements, tunnels etc. without using 2D filled regions in every section view.

Allow Design Option Sets to be sorted in alphabetical order instead of the order in which they are created. When a project has many design option sets it becomes increasingly difficult to find the one you want even though they may be named in an organized manner.

Currently PDFs out of Revit have hyperlinks defined for sections, elevations, view references, etc to point into the entire sheet. It would be great if it could point to actual detail (zoom?) on that sheet, instead of going to the sheet itself.

Fabrication part “Top” and “Bottom” parameters do not currently reference the “Reference Level” for the view they are placed in while the “Start Offset” & “End Offset” parameters do. It is possible to create a tag that correctly tags top & bottom elevation from the Reference Level but this is an added unnecessary step. It would be ideal for them to reference Reference Level by default.
