Address Toposolid graphics and modification with linked files. It's common practice to have separate site and building files which are linked together. Toposolid takes top graphic priority and read over all other elements, including reading over the foundation walls and footings when linked into a building file. Previously, Toposurfaces would read behind foundation walls and footings, so not every wall and foundation had to be excavated to get the drawings to read properly. There are numerous tutorials showing how a Toposolid can be cut using a building's walls, floors, footings, etc. But a Toposolid cannot be cut with elements in a linked file. An element has to be made in the Site file which follows the building's foundation, or the building's foundations & footings need to be copy/pasted into the Site file to cut the Toposolid. While it's fairly easy to create a floor and use the Excavation tool on flat sites with simple building design, on sloped sites and complex buildings, it's tedious, time consuming and excessive to create elements to cut out every aspect of a building's foundation.
