Hide reference planes on sheet views

Hide reference planes on sheet views

Instead of constantly editing the view template or visibility overrides, it would be easier if the sheet view would function as a print preview. Reference planes would still show up when opening a view, but the sheet view would be as clean as it would be when it is printed.

I got used to seeing reference planes etc. and actually often work on views rights on the sheet (activate view).  So your idea may benefit from that being an easily usable on/off checkmark. That way you can switch between the traditional look with all reference planes, and a true print preview.

To be consistent, this also should control crop regions, scope boxes and whatever else is visible in Revit, but not the actual PDF.

I think this could be summed up like thus: When viewing the sheet, it looks like print preview per the active/current print settings (e.g. reference planes off, scope boxes off, unreferenced sections off, crop regions off).  If you activate a view on a sheet to work on it, that view then appears as if you had opened it directly, NOT the print preview version.

I love this idea!!
