Geotechnical engineering functionalities for site, soil modeling and analysis

It will be great to also incorporate to the Revit Model information regarding site/soil conditions, as well as being able to perform geotechnical analysis based on what is been modeled. This will also add value to projects under the BIM methodology.

@roquealfonso: You can do such geo strata analysis in Autodesk Robot , Graitec Advance Design and other structural analysis software. I can't see any real advantage in adding such specialized feature in Revit. But it could work great as an addin.

Revit should be more like Autocad, more generalistic. All the specialized tools should be grouped by professions and presented as dedicated Revit packages, just like Autodesk does with Autocad Map 3D, Autocad Civil 3D, Autocad MEP, Autocad Architecture, etc.
