Fix the glitch that causes Revit to double print sheets

This has been a known issue for a decade, but recent releases seem to be even worse.  Rather than a stray duplicate or two Revit seems to frequently print duplicates of nearly every sheet in the set.  It appears to be related to currently open views, but I have had open views not be duplicated and I've had unopened views duplicate at the plotter.  This is both wasteful and infuriating.  Please fix it.

I have run into this forever and I know it is infuriating!  This is a good example of Revit's UI being so messed up that you have to be an Expert with a complex workaround to do something very basic.

But in case you want to workaround it, I can maybe help you.  Are you printing to PDFs?  Bluebeam?

My workaround has been to configure Bluebeam to automatically dump files into a folder without asking for a filename.  Then if Revit decides to print something twice, it just overwrites the file and I don't even notice.

In case you're using Bluebeam:  Run Bluebeam administrator and turn off "prompt for filename" and specify an output directory.  Note that you have to turn off automatically opening of PDFs, for two reasons:  1>  This double printing bug will cause revit to stop printing because it can't open the already existing file for writing and 2> when Bluebeam hits this is starts randomly rotating the pages!

Cheers!
