Filled and Masking Regions on Title Sheets and 3d Views

Filled and Masking Regions on Title Sheets and 3d Views

Make it so that you can have Filled and Masking Regions on both Title and 3D Views.  I don't know why you stop me from being able to use a filled region on something like my Sheets, were I might want them to use graphically for various elements.

Additionally, often I might get a 3d View setup just right, and then I want to clean up some things with a Filled Region, or Masking Region.  Most often I want to use it to hide elements that I only want partially exposed in the view.  But you won't let me do it.  Frankly, it's low hanging fruit and something you should easily be adding.

I agree this should definitely be possible and I have no idea why they do not allow this OOTB.

There is currently a fairly simple work around to get a filled region on a sheet.

  1. create a filled region in a view.
  2. select the filled region and create a group.
  3. draw a line or any other detail element on a sheet.
  4. select that line and create another group.
  5. select the group and in properties change it to the group with the filled region.MikeFORM_0-1709316802073.png

  6. ungroup the filled region.
  7. now you have a filled region on your sheet which you can copy however you please including copy/pasting to other sheets.
