Prior to Revit 2016 when opening the Family Types dialog in the Family Editor and adjusting the column widths, the column sizing would be remembered for that whole session of Revit.
I reported this during Revit 2016 testing, and I had hoped this was just a simple bug that would get fixed. However, here we are at Revit 2018.1 and the issue still exists!
Please restore the ability for Column widths in the Family Types dialog to be remembered for a given session of Revit (ideally across sessions). Currently columns are always equal every time you open the dialog.
When editing large formulas, I'm forever changing the Formula column width to be as large as possible. Even better, just have it default to more logical column widths:
- Parameter Name column should only be wide enough to display its contents.
- Parameter Value column should be a fixed with like 100 pixels maximum by default.
- Lock column should be the width of the checkbox, don't know why this is made so wide.
- Formula column should be whatever space is left!
- Rows should have options to wrap contents for easier viewing.
