Export user defined property sets to IFC - type instance parameters

Hi,

I was currently setting up an export for IFC using the User Defined Property Sets. It seems to me that I'm only able to export a set of instance parameters and apart from this another set of type parameters filling in the I or T in the text file.

I thought that it might be easier if we would be able to combine instance and type parameters in the samen property set using the same single text file.

Hopefully this will be possible in the future.

Just make a copy of the entire section and replace "I" with "T".

You will get separate property tabs, one for instance parameters and another for type

Just came across this thread... I've been running a few tests in Revit 2022 on an unrelated matter and it appears you can combine instance and type parameters in the same property set - I've not tested this in older versions but it certainly seems that if the parameter exists the value will be exported regardless of the switch (I/T) that is used for the property set definition... I'll update here if I come across anything to the contrary...

*edit* seems to be the same in 2021...

Keith: Did you find anything on this topic? Im trying to figure out how you can "remove" the type parameter property set. Now my type parameters are shown under two different Property sets: both as  Instance and Type.

@william_nelander, I'd need to understand better what you are trying to do but the ideas forum isn't really the place... If you want to start a thread on the main Revit board I'll endeavor to help you there.
