Please provide a method to change the size/angle of the default homerun arrow for Revit. We receive complaints from Contractors that the homerun arrows are difficult to see on printed drawings.
Including an option to fully manage / modify electrical home-run arrows in Revit future updates can gear-up little more for Electrical guys. Contractors often not ready to accept the default shape/size of this arrow in printed pdf.
Hi All-- thanks for the comments, and for those of you that participated in our preview program on this. This request is being marked as Implemented, as the original request is now delivered in Revit 2020.
There are new options for 'Home Run Arrow Style' in Manage > MEP Settings > Electrical Settings.
Home Run Arrow Style lets you specify a homerun arrow style, giving you control over the size and angle of the homerun arrow.
Arrow for Multi-Circuits Home Run - provides control over where homerun arrows show up.
There is also a new option in 'Show Tick Marks' that provides an additional level of control over where tick marks are displayed.
If there are additional outstanding requests, please post new Ideas for each individually.
@Martin__Schmid I understand that I'm late to this, but it would be extremely beneficial to further implement this, in my opinion. We can more finely control certain aspects of the look of specific homeruns in the Properties toolbar (such as tick marks shown or not, arc/chamfer, etc). This isn't dissimilar to typical tags/text in that they have a "default" but then can be further manipulated at an instance level.
It would be great to define the default homerun arrowhead either:
in the electrical settings, or
(preferably) on a per wire type basis
In either scenario, the goal (as I see it) is that we could still on an instant basis select the specific homerun we're wanting to change, and have the standard drop-down menu as we see elsewhere for leader arrowheads.
Being able to differentiate a unique circuit/system by the arrowhead could be extremely useful for more complex projects.
