ELECTRICAL feed through connections on transformers

ELECTRICAL feed through connections on transformers

There needs to be a method to connect a primary and secondary through a transformer.  I have tried all I can think of to get information from one primary side to the secondary side of the transformer.  Without the math required and along with x/r calculations, we will never be able to connect the transformer as it should in an electrical system.  I don't care if that means we have input our own formulas to derive at this procedure, electrical will never be any better.  There are of course many other factors involved in making it work, but right now, it is very bad.  What about k factor calculations too?

It is also not possible to add two separate distribution systems for a family, which will be required for this to work too?  Didn't anyone expect the troubles on this type of equipment?

How far is (can) the factory willing to go to make it better for us?

Hi @jaboone -- if the intent is to, for example, connect a 208/120 v panel to to a transformer, then connect that transformer up stream to a 480/277 v panel.. and have load propagate from the 208/120 panel to the 480/277 panel, that is possible already:

This is an old blog post that some of the details may vary, but the concept has not changed:

https://inside-the-system.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/10/interconnecting-panels-and-transformers.html

I've also provided an updated recording here, as the one linked from that old blog post is disappeared into the internet ether.

I'm not aware of any limitation in adding parameters or calculations to the transformer to produce what it is you are asking... if you'd like to provide a new idea that is specific to any gap there, please feel free to do so.
