Dynamic cut plane to increase productivity

Dynamic cut plane to increase productivity

Often, an element doesn't appear in a view because its outside the view range.

These settings can be changed in the View Range dialog box, however the steps needed are cumbersome.

IF the view range settings could be set using dynamic sliders - which could be added to the navigation bar of a view, it would be so much easier and faster to explore the model and find things.

It takes like 3 clicks and a couple of key punches to change the view range.... You don't typically want view ranges moving around willy nilly. Trying to "find things" sounds like a whole other issue in your workflow.

Is there a reason why you aren't using a 3D view?

I've made an assumption due to the language you've used in your post but it seems like you're trying to do all the things you're doing in a plan view of some kind.

In my work, I am able to set my views up at the start of the project with view ranges that only change automatically when levels change height. Are you saying you want to adjust the view range temporarily to be able to see an element so you can move it into the correct place in the model? If so can I suggest using 3D views or finding a different workflow because that is not (imo) efficient at all and does not justify resources being used to develop such a feature.
