Drawing in 3D (x,y,z axis)

Drawing in 3D (x,y,z axis)

When I work in 3d view is not possible to move an object on 3 axis (like autocad or any 3D software) but only on a 2D plane. So I need everytime to change the workplane and it take a lot of time.

The option would greatly facilitate modeling.

Thanks

Click on your 3D cube to align to one of the vertical side of it, now you can move in z direction unless when the familly is actually hosted by an horizontal workplane :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

If it doesn't work, play with the constraint and disjoin  options checkboxes too !

Hi opesch, thanks for reply.

actually I use this method but some times there are objects in foreground that hide objects I want to move, so often it is necessary crop model with scope boxe. It is very slow to work!

Also, if I need to doing a sweep of a profile, I m not able to move the path on 3d space but only in 2 axis.

I agree :cara_guiñando_un_ojo:

The best would be to have a gizmo like in Navisworks !

This might be a possible duplicate of this and this idea. This feature is perhaps one of the most important features missing for Revit to become a fully 3D program, and not a 2D working program with 3D views.
