When you try to give a room a number that is already held by another room you run into a warning. After OK'ing it (which is far from ok) you are left with the double number. Why does Revit not come up with a proper proposal that users may or may not agree with?

Of course users could also adjust their mode of working and just open a schedule with all the numbers already inside the project and work in tandem with a floor plan or section and just not enter a wrong number accidentally.
