Don't Duplicate Detail Items When Inserting Drafting Views or Merge Detail Items
Every time you insert a drafting view, it duplicates the common detail items and adds a number suffix. We have a lot of typical details we share and by the end of the project, we have 10 different versions of the same detail item. If this can't be fixed, then maybe somehow allow for a merge of detail items so you can purge out the duplicates without deleting items or manually switching them over.
So frustrating to spend more time cleaning up duplicate detail items when importing standard details into my projects from my library. Would be quicker to draw them from scratch...so annoying and time consuming...just merge them already, AutoDesk!
This would be really useful, we have the same problem where I work! We also have guidance details with detail components that, when imported into projects, end up being duplicates of already existing detail components in the model, just with a suffix at the end!
