I was explaining how we space components in our details to show the locations of things such as sealants. This gave me the idea that if could space the underlying model components in a similar way to how we can create displaced elements in a 3D view we could produce better installation details.
Below I have attached 2 versions of the same detail the first is just showing some of the model elements in the detail view, the second shows how we show the same view in and AutoCAD detail where we have spaced the elements to show the locations of the sealants and the build order of the flashings and metal closures.
