Dimension Style with different tickmarks on each side

Dimension Style with different tickmarks on each side

It would be nice to have individual control over each tickmark in a dimension.  This could be accomplished with a tickmark 1 and a tickmark 2 parameter within the dimension style similar to AutoCAD.  Alternatively, this could be a right-click toggle on each instance of a tickmark.

For example, a detail may need to indicate a dimension starting at an element in the detail, but continuing beyond the bounds of the detail.  In this case, it is convenient to use a diagonal tickmark on the element and an arrow where the dimension meets the cropbox to indicate the continuation of the dimension.

Another example would be to distinguish between types of elements being dimensioned.  Where the scale of a drawing is small and the detail level is high, it can be difficult to see what i dimension is locating.  Providing a unique tickmark style for gridlines, framing, and clear dimensions to the face of finish helps clarify.

The attached shows what we do now, but the redmarks indicate what we would like to do.

I have asked for this before and it doesn't seem to be getting votes at all. Glad to see yours is getting traction and votes.
