Diagonal Text With Opaque - Bounding Box Fails

Diagonal Text With Opaque - Bounding Box Fails

When you rotate text, either in a dimension, a tag or an annotation symbol, and you have it set to opaque background, the text is routinely masking parts of the dimension or other objects.  I believe it is that the internal math to do the bounding box is using a sin instead of a cosine (or something similar).   It looks fine at zero or 90 degrees.  If a dimension, we can move the grip, but only if NOT using "Below").  If a beam tag, it is often hiding part of the beam.  Seems like a simple fix if just the math in the bounding box code.

We use a separate Dimension type (with a larger offset) as a workaround for this problem. Luckily, most projects don't have angles, but it would be nice if this was fixed...

This sounds more like a bug than something that should be an "idea"/feature request... but then again I know I'm told to post ridiculous things here by the support staff... did you try submitting a support request first?

I wound up submitting Case Number: 15654033 including this and what may be a related bug from another idea:

[make] All font types work correctly on dimensions

and included a Screencast:
