The creation of a category similar to legends or Schedules/Quantities that allows for creation of specific design calculations that could utilise the multi-category parameters of utilised elements as well as creating calculated parameters. There are countless ways that this could be utilised but a couple examples of the types of calculations I'm thinking of are:
Toilet Provision - In order to prove compliance with necessary regulations that appropriate numbers for male, female & disabled have been provided it's necessary to show table of number comparing it against number required (based on occupancy & tables in relevant reg's/BS).
Compensatory U-Value - When designing extensions to existing properties there's the need to provide calc's showing area of existing openings compared to area of proposed.
C-Value Calc's (Visibility) - This is one that is particularly relevant in sports ground, arenas and auditoria where it's necessary to show determine if there are any seats that have limited visibility.
At present these table are done in a program other than Revit (usually excel) but using information from parameters within Revit, would be preferential to be able to create these with Revit so that they can be added to sheets along with floor plans & can be automatically updated.
